Tree Hero Program Update!
Lutz Cemetery is proud to announce the arrival and planting of 30 incredible lavender crepe myrtle trees! We are thankful for the rain because our young trees are very thirsty!
We are also very thankful to the people, businesses, and groups who have stepped up, so far, to be true Tree Heroes! Tree Hero sponsorships help our continued efforts to beautify the historic Lutz Cemetery in Lutz Florida.
All Sponsors Receive...
All sponsors will receive a custom engraved plaque at the base of their tree and a custom engraved brick on Patriots' Way!
Status Update
The 30 crepe myrtle trees were planted in early May of 2026. We are now in the process of designing and ordering custom-engraved plaques for each of our active sponsors. We anticipate these plaques to arrive and be placed by the end of August.
The Patriots' Way bricks require a minimum order of 50 before they will be etched and shipped. Thus, it may take a bit longer to see the finished bricks. We currently have 14 of our 30 Trees Sponsored.
