Lutz Cemetery Volunteer

Preserving History, Honoring Legacies

At Lutz Cemetery, we believe that caring for this historic resting place is a community effort. Since 1911, generations of volunteers have helped maintain the dignity and beauty of these sacred grounds. Today, we invite you to join this meaningful tradition through our Volunteer Program—where your time and effort directly contribute to preserving local history and honoring those who came before us.

Why Volunteer at Lutz Cemetery?

Maintained by American Legion Post 108, the cemetery serves as both a historical landmark and an active burial ground. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring it remains a place of peace, respect, and remembrance. By joining our team, you’ll help:

  • Preserve local history by maintaining gravesites dating back over a century
  • Honor veterans and community members through dignified upkeep
  • Support families by keeping their loved ones’ resting places beautiful
  • Connect with Lutz’s heritage through hands-on conservation
