Our Gravesite Care & Remembrance services go beyond routine cemetery maintenance, providing the individualized attention that helps preserve the dignity, beauty, and appearance of a special place.
These services can be especially meaningful for families who live at a distance, have limited mobility, or simply want the peace of mind of knowing that their loved one's gravesite is receiving thoughtful, hands-on care.
Understanding Perpetual Care
At Historic Lutz Cemetery, perpetual care is our commitment to caring for these historic grounds today and for generations to come. Funds designated for perpetual care help support the essential, ongoing work required to maintain the cemetery as a whole—including mowing, edging, weed and pest control, debris and trash removal, general grounds maintenance, landscaping, and tree care.
As a nonprofit cemetery, we work hard to make every perpetual-care dollar go as far as possible. Our grounds team cares for more than seven acres, and we take great pride in keeping the cemetery beautiful, welcoming, and worthy of the generations entrusted to our care. Whenever possible, we go beyond basic maintenance because we believe these grounds deserve thoughtful stewardship.
However, routine perpetual care simply cannot provide the individualized attention every gravesite deserves. Detailed cleaning around a particular grave, removing buildup from borders and memorial areas, carefully tending the immediate gravesite, and giving one location concentrated attention takes additional time and hands-on care.
That's why we created our Scheduled Gravesite Care service—not to replace perpetual care, but to build upon it. Families who would like an extra level of attention may choose a one-time detailed gravesite care service or an annual four-service care package, providing additional attention throughout the year.
Our goal is simple: use our perpetual care resources to care for the cemetery as a whole, while giving families an affordable option when they want us to do a little more for the individual place that means the most to them.

Sometimes a gravesite simply needs more individualized attention than routine cemetery maintenance can provide. We created our Gravesite Care & Remembrance services for families who want us to spend dedicated time caring for their loved one's individual space. Whether the site needs a seasonal refresh, a monument needs professional cleaning, or you would like ongoing care throughout the year, our team will give the space the thoughtful, hands-on attention we would want for someone we love.
Detailed Care for the Entire Gravesite
Our Scheduled Gravesite Care service goes beyond routine grounds maintenance. We carefully assess the individual gravesite and provide the attention it needs to look its best. Depending on the site's condition, service may include hand-pulling and treating weeds, adding grass seed where needed, ant and pest treatment, removing leaves and debris, cleaning up fallen limbs, raking, detailed edging, and other minor landscape care needed within the gravesite.
One-Time Specialty Care - $75
Perfect for a seasonal refresh or when a gravesite needs a little extra attention.
Annual Specialty Care - $250
Includes 4 specialty care visits, approximately every three months during a 12-month period.
Professional Monument Cleaning
Gentle care for the memorial itself
Monuments are continually exposed to Florida's sun, rain, humidity, vegetation, and organic growth. Our professional monument cleaning service uses high-quality products and methods selected for safe use on memorial stone, removing accumulated dirt and organic buildup without unnecessarily risking damage to the memorial.
