Background 2

Burial Site & Inurnment Capacity

Historic Lutz Cemetery burial sites are designed to provide families with flexible options for both traditional burial and cremated remains. Each individual burial site may accommodate up to four cremation inurnments. When a site contains one traditional burial, it may also accommodate up to three additional cremation inurnments.

A double-depth burial site may accommodate two traditional burials plus up to three additional cremation inurnments. For families selecting a Traditional Ground Burial Family Estate, consisting of four individual burial sites, each site may accommodate up to four cremation inurnments when no traditional burial is present, or one traditional burial plus up to three additional cremation inurnments per site.

Additional Inurnment Rights are $500 per inurnment and apply to each cremated remains inurnment added to an existing burial site. Opening and closing, memorialization, and other applicable cemetery services are priced separately.

This flexibility allows families to create a shared place of remembrance where spouses, relatives, and future generations may be memorialized together within the same family space.

About The Whispering Garden

The Whispering Garden is being created as a peaceful, natural setting for families who choose scattering as the final disposition of cremated remains. Rather than establishing an individual burial site, cremated remains are respectfully scattered within a designated area of the garden, allowing them to become part of a shared landscape of remembrance.

Families may also choose a memorialization option within the garden, creating a lasting place to remember a loved one’s name even without an individual gravesite or niche.

The Whispering Garden is currently in development, with completion anticipated in Spring 2027. Availability, memorialization options, and final garden details depend on project completion.
