Honoring Those Who Served

A Final Tribute to Those Who Served

When a veteran is laid to rest at Historic Lutz Cemetery, we are honored to help the family coordinate a meaningful military tribute.

Historic Lutz Cemetery works with The American Legion Post 108 Honor Guard and The American Legion 15th District Chaplain to provide ceremonial honors for veteran burial and inurnment services held at the cemetery.

Our team can help coordinate these arrangements in advance so the Honor Guard, Chaplain, funeral home, family, and cemetery are prepared for the service.

Available Military Honors Include

Honor Guard Rifle Salute Memorial
Playing of Taps Memorial
Ceremonial Flag Presentation at Golden Hour
Ceremonial Cannon Salute at Sunset

Chaplain Services

The American Legion 15th District Chaplain may also be requested to participate in the service, offering prayer, words of remembrance, and spiritual support for the family.

All honors and ceremonial elements must be requested in advance and are subject to the availability of participating Honor Guard members, the Chaplain, and other personnel.

Offered in Service to Veterans and Their Families

The American Legion Post 108 Honor Guard and American Legion 15th District Chaplain do not charge families for their participation in veteran services at Historic Lutz Cemetery.

They give their time and service in honor of the veteran.

While never required, families who wish to express their appreciation are encouraged to consider donating directly to the Post 108 Honor Guard and/or the 15th District Chaplain to support their continued service to veterans and their families.

Donations are voluntary and are not a condition of receiving these honors.
