About Historic Lutz Cemetery
From our Family to Yours
Meet Toni Hedstrom, Director of Development
Toni Hedstrom serves as Director of Development for Historic Lutz Cemetery, bringing together organizational leadership, community engagement, fundraising, and long-term planning to help preserve and strengthen this historic place.
Toni previously served as the cemetery's Operations Manager, overseeing the day-to-day work involved in caring for the cemetery and serving families. As the organization has grown, her role has transitioned from managing daily operations to focusing more intentionally on the cemetery's future.
Today, Toni leads the development of new programs and projects, coordinates fundraising and community partnerships, oversees staff and financial administration, and helps guide initiatives to preserve the cemetery while expanding how it serves the community. She also serves as Secretary to the Board of Directors, supporting the Board with administration, records, planning, and organizational governance.
Her work includes developing projects that enhance the cemetery grounds, creating programs that preserve local history and honor veterans, identifying new opportunities for community involvement, and helping ensure Historic Lutz Cemetery remains financially and organizationally strong for generations to come.
For Toni, development is ultimately about stewardship - honoring what has been entrusted to us while thoughtfully preparing Historic Lutz Cemetery for the future.
Preserving History. Honoring Lives. Building Legacy.

The American Legion Post 108
A Place For Veterans To Call Home.
The American Legion Post 108 is proud to call Plantation Palms Golf Club Home. The management and staff of this premier semi-private golf course have embraced our Post with open arms offering a free social membership to all American Legion Post 108 members.
Since its founding, American Legion Post 108 in Land O' Lakes has proudly served veterans and the Lutz community. As caretakers of historic Lutz Cemetery since 2024, we maintain this sacred ground with reverence, ensuring proper tribute to veterans and local families. Our members - veterans from all branches of service - uphold the Legion's mission of patriotism, remembrance, and community service.
Beyond cemetery stewardship, Post 108 actively supports veterans' welfare, youth programs, and patriotic initiatives. We host memorial ceremonies, provide veteran assistance resources, and foster camaraderie among those who served. The Legion's commitment to "Veterans Strengthening America" is evident in our cemetery preservation, community outreach, and advocacy for those who have defended our nation.
We invite all eligible veterans to join our ranks and community members to support our mission of honoring service and preserving local history.
