This is an excerpt from The Good Cemeterian who published a story about Private Henry Jellet Fletcher, Civil War Veteran interred at Lutz Cemetery.

Private Henry Jellet Fletcher was born in Ripley County, Indiana [sic] nearly 184 years ago on October 6th, 1839, to his father, Paris Charles Fletcher, and mother, Priscilla McWilliams.

On June 19th, 1861, at the age of 21, Henry Jellet enlisted as a Private with the Union Army's 13th Indiana Infantry. Mr. Fletcher was soon taken as a prisoner of ware and wasn't released for nearly four years.

By 1914, Henry Jellet and his son William had relocated to Lutz, where he lost his life on February 9th, 1914, at 74 years old.
