Meet Nate Southwick
Nate offices with the Lutz Cemetery Team and is always there to lending a helping hand. His duties include management of The American Legion Post 108 Outreach Program. His desk is right at the top of the stairs and he welcomes any and all veterans or service members to stop by for a chat.
Nate served more than 20-years in the United States Marine Corps. and now enjoys the Florida life with his wife and two boys. You will oftentimes find Nate on the cemetery's riding mower pulling the water tank for our trees.

A Place For Veterans To Call Home.
The American Legion Post 108 is proud to call Plantation Palms Golf Club Home. The management and staff of this premier semi-private golf course have embraced our Post with open arms offering a free social membership to all American Legion Post 108 members.
Since its founding, American Legion Post 108 in Land O' Lakes has proudly served veterans and the Lutz community. As caretakers of historic Lutz Cemetery since 2024, we maintain this sacred ground with reverence, ensuring proper tribute to veterans and local families. Our members - veterans from all branches of service - uphold the Legion's mission of patriotism, remembrance, and community service.
Beyond cemetery stewardship, Post 108 actively supports veterans' welfare, youth programs, and patriotic initiatives. We host memorial ceremonies, provide veteran assistance resources, and foster camaraderie among those who served. The Legion's commitment to "Veterans Strengthening America" is evident in our cemetery preservation, community outreach, and advocacy for those who have defended our nation.
