Meet Marquis & Co. Grounds Manager
Marquis & Co. is the heart behind the grounds of Lutz Cemetery, a dedicated husband and wife team committed to preserving the dignity, beauty, and historical legacy of this sacred space. Comprised of Ed and Helen Marquis, both proud members of The American Legion Post 108 and its Auxiliary, the team brings deep personal devotion and spirit of service to every task they undertake.
Ed Marquis, a U.S. military veteran with over 35 years of service and more than six deployments, pours his experience, discipline, and compassion into his work at the cemetery. Each week, Ed spends countless hours on site clearing overgrowth from headstones, preparing areas for new development, building signage, and meticulously maintaining the grounds. His dedication is especially evident in the care give to the 214 veterans interred at Lutz Cemetery, ensuring each is honored with the respect and gratitude they deserve.
Together, Ed and Helen exemplify what it means to serve with pride and purpose. Marquis & Co. is not just managing the grounds, they are preserving memories, honoring legacies, and upholding the sacred trust placed in Lutz Cemetery.

A Place For Veterans To Call Home.
The American Legion Post 108 is proud to call Plantation Palms Golf Club Home. The management and staff of this premier semi-private golf course have embraced our Post with open arms offering a free social membership to all American Legion Post 108 members.
Since its founding, American Legion Post 108 in Land O' Lakes has proudly served veterans and the Lutz community. As caretakers of historic Lutz Cemetery since 2024, we maintain this sacred ground with reverence, ensuring proper tribute to veterans and local families. Our members - veterans from all branches of service - uphold the Legion's mission of patriotism, remembrance, and community service.
Beyond cemetery stewardship, Post 108 actively supports veterans' welfare, youth programs, and patriotic initiatives. We host memorial ceremonies, provide veteran assistance resources, and foster camaraderie among those who served. The Legion's commitment to "Veterans Strengthening America" is evident in our cemetery preservation, community outreach, and advocacy for those who have defended our nation.
We invite all eligible veterans to join our ranks and community members to support our mission of honoring service and preserving local history.
