About Historic Lutz Cemetery

From our Family to Yours

Meet Lisa Sargent, Operations Manager | Sales & Customer Care

As Operations Manager for Historic Lutz Cemetery, Lisa Sargent oversees the cemetery's day-to-day operations and serves as the primary point of contact for families seeking burial and cremation options, pre-planning assistance, and cemetery services.

Lisa manages sales and customer care, guiding families through each step of the process - from their first inquiry and cemetery tour to selecting burial or inurnment rights, arranging services, and coordinating details necessary to carry out their wishes. She works closely with cemetery staff, funeral home staff, and other parties to ensure services are handled professionally, respectfully, and with careful attention to detail.

An important part of Lisa's role is supporting families during times that can be both emotional and unfamiliar. Known for her patient, thoughtful, and caring approach, Lisa takes the time to listen, answer questions, explain available options clearly, and allow families to make decisions at a pace that is comfortable to them. Her approach to cemetery sales is centered on service rather than pressure.

In her operational role, Lisa helps coordinate staff, grounds activities, cemetery services, scheduling, family requests, and the day-to-day responsibilities of maintaining an active cemetery. She works closely with the Director of Development and cemetery leadership to ensure that operational needs remain aligned with Historic Lutz Cemetery's long-term mission and standards of care.

Lisa also assists with community programs, veteran remembrance initiatives, educational activities, and special events that connect Historic Lutz Cemetery with the community it has served since 1911.

For Lisa, excellent cemetery care begins with taking care of people - listening carefully, communicating clearly, and making sure every family feels respected and supported.

The American Legion Post 108

A Place For Veterans To Call Home.

The American Legion Post 108 is proud to call Plantation Palms Golf Club Home. The management and staff of this premier semi-private golf course have embraced our Post with open arms offering a free social membership to all American Legion Post 108 members.

Since its founding, American Legion Post 108 in Land O' Lakes has proudly served veterans and the Lutz community. As caretakers of historic Lutz Cemetery since 2024, we maintain this sacred ground with reverence, ensuring proper tribute to veterans and local families. Our members - veterans from all branches of service - uphold the Legion's mission of patriotism, remembrance, and community service.

Beyond cemetery stewardship, Post 108 actively supports veterans' welfare, youth programs, and patriotic initiatives. We host memorial ceremonies, provide veteran assistance resources, and foster camaraderie among those who served. The Legion's commitment to "Veterans Strengthening America" is evident in our cemetery preservation, community outreach, and advocacy for those who have defended our nation.

We invite all eligible veterans to join our ranks and community members to support our mission of honoring service and preserving local history.
