Meet Kittie Waites
Kittie Waites brings a unique combination of compassion, experience, and heartfelt service to the families of Lutz Cemetery. As a devoted mother, animal lover, and End-of-Life Doula, Kittie has dedicated her life to helping others navigate some of life's most difficult moments with grace, understanding, and hope.
For many years, Kittie has supported individuals and families through loss, grief, and healing. Her areas of expertise include Grief Support and Guidance, Stillborn and Infant Loss Support, Celebration of Life and Graveside Services, and Monument Design and Unveiling Ceremonies. She understands that every life is unique and every family's journey is different, providing personalized support that honors both the individual and their loved ones.
Kittie also has a special passion for helping families cope with the loss of beloved pets. As someone who deeply understands the bond between people and animals, she offers compassionate support and guidance to those grieving the loss of a cherished companion, recognizing that the love we share with our pets is a profound and meaningful part of our lives.
In addition to her work supporting families, Kittie is a Florida Notary Public and is available by appointment to provide notary services at the Lutz Cemetery offices.
Kittie's vision extends beyond traditional cemetery services. She is helping shape the future of Lutz Cemetery through community events, educational programs, and special projects designed to bring comfort, beauty, and connection to the grounds. She is currently leading efforts to create a new Babyland Memorial Garden, a dedicated space of remembrance and healing for families who have experienced the loss of an infant or child.
Through her caring spirit and creative vision, Kittie continues to bring a renewed sense of wonder, peace, and purpose to Lutz Cemetery. Whether assisting families through grief, celebrating a life well lived, or helping create meaningful memorial spaces, Kittie's mission is simple: to ensure that no one walks their journey alone.
"Every life deserves to be remembered. Every story deserves to be honored. Every family deserves compassion."

The American Legion Post 108
A Place For Veterans To Call Home.
The American Legion Post 108 is proud to call Plantation Palms Golf Club Home. The management and staff of this premier semi-private golf course have embraced our Post with open arms offering a free social membership to all American Legion Post 108 members.
Since its founding, American Legion Post 108 in Land O' Lakes has proudly served veterans and the Lutz community. As caretakers of historic Lutz Cemetery since 2024, we maintain this sacred ground with reverence, ensuring proper tribute to veterans and local families. Our members - veterans from all branches of service - uphold the Legion's mission of patriotism, remembrance, and community service.
Beyond cemetery stewardship, Post 108 actively supports veterans' welfare, youth programs, and patriotic initiatives. We host memorial ceremonies, provide veteran assistance resources, and foster camaraderie among those who served. The Legion's commitment to "Veterans Strengthening America" is evident in our cemetery preservation, community outreach, and advocacy for those who have defended our nation.
We invite all eligible veterans to join our ranks and community members to support our mission of honoring service and preserving local history.
