Columbaria Niche Sizes & Specifications
Our companion niches accommodate up to two urns. Because urns vary considerably in size and shape, please confirm the dimensions of both urns with Historic Lutz Cemetery before purchasing an urn or finalizing niche arrangements.

Niche Engraving & Personalization
Historic Lutz Cemetery is happy to recommend experienced engraving providers; however, families may select the engraving company of their choice. All engraving must comply with Historic Lutz Cemetery's established niche design and memorialization guidelines.
The cemetery must be notified before an engraving appointment is scheduled or work is performed so that appropriate arrangements can be made and the proposed design can be confirmed to meet cemetery guidelines.
All inscriptions, images, symbols, and other design elements must be respectful and appropriate for a cemetery setting and free from offensive or controversial language or imagery. Advertising, commercial messaging, political messages, campaign material, or other promotional content is not permitted.
Common engraving methods include on-site sandblasting and off-site laser engraving. When a granite niche cover is removed from the cemetery for off-site laser engraving, Historic Lutz Cemetery will install a temporary granite cover while the permanent cover is away. A $20 temporary cover rental fee is payable to Historic Lutz Cemetery.
Engraving costs are determined by the selected engraving provider and can vary considerably based on the engraving method—such as laser engraving or sandblasting—as well as the size, detail, artwork, photographs, lettering, and overall complexity of the design. Families should obtain pricing directly from their chosen engraving provider before authorizing the work.
Please contact Historic Lutz Cemetery before scheduling any niche engraving to confirm design requirements and coordinate access or removal of the niche cover.
